Dr Jan Blekkingh

Jan Blekkingh is passionate about all aspects of community and private dentistry. Jan qualified as a dental surgeon in Amsterdam and has been working in London since 1988. He joined the Camden Dental Centre in 1993 and bought the practice with Dr Martin Gilbert in 2005. Jan has developed all aspects of general dentistry at Camden Dental Centre and has specialized in cosmetic dentistry, whitening procedures, straightening using invisible braces (Clearstep), veneers (Lumineer), crowns and inlays.

Jan is a skilled and enthusiastic sailor and sails in yacht races around the world. Like any self-respecting Dutchman Jan is also a keen cyclist and cycles to and from work every day.

Jan lives with his wife and two young daughters in Hampstead.

Graduated 2001 in dentistry, Medical University of Hannover, Germany graduated 2002 in integral medecine  (Heilpraktiker), public health department of Hannover, Germany Associate 2001-2002 in dental surgery.

Hannover Associate 2003 in dental clinic Medeco, Berlin- Wedding. Own practice 2004-2005 in Berlin-Potsdamer Platz since october 2005 associate in Camden Dental Centre

Hygienists

Julie Boddington, our hygienist, has 21 years of Dental Hygiene experience. Her training was undertaken at the Royal London Dental Hospital and the Royal Naval Dental Training School respectively.

Julie has attended post graduate training courses at Guys and Eastman Dental Hospitals. As a deviation from dentistry, Julie also has a BA in film and an MA in design and interactive media arts, resulting in a stand at the new talent pavilion at the Cannes Multimedia Festival 1996.

Julie is a keen traveler, although less so since the birth of her four year old son, Joshua.  When time permits, she enjoys cycling, keep-fit and yoga.

She also likes horse riding, water-skiing, swimming, music, theatre, gardening and cooking.
